RHWS Results Saturday 11/15 – Game 1

We won our semi-final game against Team Florida with a dramatic comeback. Down 4-2 in the 8th, we scored 2 to tie it. Then we won in the bottom of the ninth with a walk-off single by Panos Lagos. Frank Amoroso tossed a complete game, allowing only 8 hits and one earned run.

RHWS Results Thursday 11/13

We beat the Boston Braves, 13-5, in Thursday’s game which was rescheduled from the Sunday rainout. Zach Jones and Julian Blea combined to give up only 7 hits.

RHWS Results Friday 11/14

We struggled to beat the Houston Colt 65s in what turned out to be an ugly game.  The final score was 28-16. That puts us into the semi-finals against Team Florida. In the other semi-final, the Sacramento Solons will take on the Chicago Spirit.

RHWS schedule for Friday 11/14

We ended up as the 10th seed among 20 teams. The top 8 teams will play for the AAAA title. We are the #2 seed in the AA division. We play at 1:45 on Friday against the winner of the Lehigh Baseball (#7) and Houston Colt 65s (#10). RHWS Results Wednesday 11/12

We lost to the DC National Spirit, 13-7, on Wednesday. Neither team played very well.  We couldn’t shut them down when we needed to, and that ended up being the difference in the game.

RHWS Results Tuesday 11/11

We lost a cliff-hanger game to the Ohio Classics, 6-5. Frank Amoroso threw a great game, but we couldn’t hold the lead in the bottom of the ninth. We were tied at 4-4 after 8 innings. We scored one in the top of the ninth and they scored 2 in the bottom.

RHWS Results Monday 11/10

The Antiques beat the Silver Foxes (Rhode Island) 13-8. The game was tight through 6 1/2 innings. 7-7 going into the bottom of the 7th. We scored 5 in the 7th and then traded runs in the 8th.

RHWS results Sunday 11/9

The Antiques game is rained out. We don’t know when the game will be rescheduled. The Rhode Island Waves game is at least postponed, and maybe rained out too. Both teams are looking forward to playing on Monday.
