We started strong again, scoring 5 in the first. Larry Grant’s 2 run double was one highlight of the inning. Rich Mangini held the Bears to a single run in a game shortened by the ten run rule.

Woodland, Game 2, Antiques 17 — Patriots 7

We scored 8 in the bottom of the first, and added 4 in the 2nd. Bob Loflin’s two-run single in the first and three-run double of the wall in the second led the offense. Larry Grant took a shutout into the 5th inning before the Patriots scored two on Mike Flick’s two-out single.

Rich Hinkle, Rich Mangini, and Rich Battiato combined for the win. Rankin Lyman went all 8 for the Giants. Danny Moore scored 3 runs from the leadoff spot to lead the offense.
