Update on Denny’s status

My grandson, Zach Brown, plays on the 12u all-star team from Longview, WA that just won their regional tournament! They are going to the national tournament for Cal Ripken baseball in Aberdeen, MD. Games will be on TV on Saturday 8/18 and Sunday 8/19.

What does that have to do with you? Why should you care?

For Tri-Valley guys: I’ll be playing this coming weekend. Then I’ll miss the games on the weekends of 8/11 & 12 and 8/18 & 19. I’ll be in Aberdeen. 🙂

For Tournament guys: I need to get the post season tournament work done ASAP. That means getting commitments, raising the money to pay fees, and all of the other communication work to get the tournament teams organized.

You can help me out! Here’s how:

My normal schedule is to raise the money for Woodland and Roy Hobbs by about the middle of August. But now I’m leaving for Aberdeen on Friday, August 10 and won’t be back in CA until Monday, August 20.

I will also use the Antiques site and my Facebook account to post info about my grandson’s tournament. Those posts will be in a new category on the Antiques site: Cal Ripken 12U World Series. Ignore those posts if you’re not interested. I plan to post updates here even if I’m the only one who reads them. 🙂
