ANTIQUE Guys

We have secured a Field for 3 Practices for the next 3 weekends.

The First Practice is planned for:

SUN 27 MAR at   9 – 11AM
(weather permitting)

Max Baer Park
1310 Murdell Lane
Livermore, CA 94550

I will send a weather e-mail Late SAT Night, and, again, early SUN Morning, if necessary. You can call Gus at 650-520-0351.

Even if you are playing somewhere else this year, you are welcome to work out here. Come and get a work-out and hear Denny’s Speech: “The State of the Antiques”

We still believe:

(1) The great majority of games will be on Saturdays
(2) The first REAL GAME will be SAT 16 APR
(3) There will be two Antiques teams, three if you count the Black Sox
(4) Players may play for both Antiques teams.

We hope to see you at one or more of these optional practices.

  1. I talked to Gus about 6pm Saturday evening. So far, we’ve still got a chance. Check email and/or the site tonight or tomorrow morning.

Bring fees and waivers if you can!

  2. Email from Gus, 11:30pm Saturday…

So far, it looks like we will be able to do some work-out tomorrow. Even though the field is still a little soft, we ought to be able to do some throwing, hitting, and fielding, maybe needing to dodge a little mud.

I will do another weather update before 7:30AM tomorrow.

If it doesn’t rain anymore, see you at

  3. Update from Gus at 7:30am Sunday…

It has not rained and I think we can do a limited work-out today. We will need to stay clear of first base and tread lightly. If you would need to travel a long ways to get here, and feel it’s not worth it, that’s understandable.

We can throw, hit, and field a bit, and hear Denny’s update.

    See you at 9AM.

    Gus
