No 65+ Division in TriValley this year – Antiques Blue playing in 55+ again

I’m sorry to report that we were not able to pull together the 65+ division for this year. We have cancelled the 65+ schedule.

This means that the Antiques Blue will play in 55+ again this year. That brings the 55+ division back up to 8 teams.

The revised schedule, including the Antiques Blue, is posted on the Trivalley stats website. Go there and choose from the Schedules drop down menu.

The first game for the Antiques Blue is this Sunday, 4/21, at 1pm at Livermore High. We play the Black Sox.

The Antiques Red play on Saturday, 4/20, at 1pm at Livermore High against the Braves.

Current Antiques Blue roster: Denny Brown, George Esposito, Tom Feasby, Tony Finocchiaro, Gus Manning, Mike McKeever, Pops Menise, Phil Montes, Mike Morris, Bert Rodriguez, Mike Tarens.

We need to add a few players. They might come from guys on the Antiques Red or Black Sox that want to go Blue, or guys on other teams who were planning to play 65+. I’m looking for volunteers to join us. There will be playing time available. 🙂

Current Antiques Red roster: Frank Bower, Randy Cobb, Dan Coyro, Mike Hanks, Ted Hinckley, Sil Krevocheza, Julian Lopez, Mike McIntyre, Danny Moore, Robin South, Skip Stephens, Jon Tain, Steve Ashman, John Riley.

Current Black Sox roster: Steve Balling, Rich Battiato, Doc Bresnik, Dave Douglas, Mike Flick, Ken Groen, Dale Marinello, Mike Protheroe, Bill Stoffers, Elgin Williams, Stan Williams, Mark Kreindler, Dave Beatty, Bob Beren, Rick Sunseri, and maybe Steve Azevedo.

We have Mike Perona and Lou Colaneri to place on one of these rosters; I haven’t talked to them yet about what they prefer.

We have Jim Gardner, Mike Rezzonico, Steve Spector, Larry Grant, Art White, Bobby Scott, and Bob Wilms on the DL. Some of them might return this year; some won’t.

Please contact me right away if:

  • You’d like to join the Antiques Blue
  • You think you’re on the wrong roster
  • You know somebody who would like to join one of these teams
