Rules re Laney College’s field

Mike Protheroe, league president, sent these rules to all of the managers in TriValley. Please read and heed!

-Denny

The following are the Laney RULES as dictated by their Administration that we MUST FOLLOW:

  • NO SUNFLOWER SEEDS/PEANUTS ETC.-  (Signs are posted in each dugout)
  • NO GUM – (Again signs are posted)
  • NO SMOKING – (Not on premises)
  • TRASH – (Pickup your trash, do not leave the dugouts a mess)

Laney has an “onsite” Coach or Facilities employee who is there to oversee our activates.  We have already been cited once for a VOILATION OF SUNFLOWER SEEDS last week.

MEET WITH YOUR PLAYERS AND CONVEY THIS INFORMATION SO WE DON’T JEPORADIZE OUR CONTRACT AND STANDING WITH THEIR ADMINISTRATION.

(PARKING)

  • The parking lot is directly located behind the outfield, there is plenty of parking for all teams.

(BATTING CAGES)

  • They are open and available throughout the games to all our players.

(RESTROOMS)

  • They are open and located to the right side (3rd base) down the pathway opposite the field.

(GATES)

  • Week Nights Games – (Gates open between 6:45 – 7:00 PM, with game time at 7:30 PM)
  • Weekend Games – (Gates open between 7:45 – 8:00 AM, with the first game time at 8:30 AM)

(SCOREBOARD)

  • The scoreboard will be functional and used starting next week, I will employ someone to run it for the league)

Everyone needs to take the advantage of the opportunity for us being able to play there, let’s not jeopardize  our relationship.

Enjoy the field…

Regards,
Mike Protheroe
