2012 Message #2 – Fees

Hi guys,

Here’s the followup message about fees.

We might increase the number of games scheduled this year. In 2011, we scheduled 17 games in the regular season. We played 16 because of a rainout. We also had all teams make the playoffs in two divisions.

There is talk this year about increasing the number of scheduled games. There is also discussion about revising the playoff structure. Either of these could affect the amount we have to charge each of us to cover the fees.

So for now, I’ve set the individual fee at $275. We might have to raise that. But I’ll make you all a deal. If you pay the $275 before we raise the fee, you get to skate at the $275 level. If you don’t pay before I change my mind, I’ll charge you the new rate. I’m guessing it could go to $300 or maybe even $325. So make it easy on yourself and on me and pay the $275 right away.

You have at least until March 4 to get the $275 rate. I won’t raise the fee until after the Managers’ Meeting on the 4th.

Here’s how to pay:

  1. Pay online via Paypal. You do NOT have to have a paypal account. You only need a major credit card. It’s easy. Try it. It makes it MUCH easier for me. After a bunch of you pay, I just transfer the money in one transaction to the bank account. The Paypal buttons are on the “Pay your fees” page on the site.
  2. If you want to do it the old fashioned way, send a check made out to “Antiques”, to Denny Brown, 201 San Antonio Circle, Suite 102, Mountain View, CA 94040-1254. This is my office address. It makes it easy for me to fill out a deposit slip and deposit your check. If you send it to my home address, I have to remember to bring it to work.

I want to eliminate, as much as possible, paying me at the field. I have 50 of you guys to keep track of. And I don’t like the distraction of collecting money while trying to concentrate on playing. I’ll make an exception for anybody who wants to pay at this Sunday’s practice in San Jose. 🙂

Thanks in advance for getting me the money right away. 🙂
