Another Antiques comeback

On Saturday, 6/7, we had another classic Antiques comeback. The Antiques Red were down to the Braves 7-1 after one inning, and 13-1 after 5. We scored 3 in the 6th to get things started. We got 5 more in the 7th to make the score 13-9.

When we started the bottom of the 8th, we knew that time had expired. We loaded the bases on Danny Moore’s base hit, and walks to Mike McIntyre and Ted Hinckley. Randy Cobb got a huge hit, a bases clearing triple. Robin South tied the game with a base hit that drove in Randy. Robin stole 2nd and 3rd to put the pressure on the defense. But we couldn’t push across the winner, so we ended the game with a 13-13 tie.

Even though we didn’t quite make it all the way back, it sure felt good to stay in the game all the way to the end. Good job guys!
