Team USA scored in the first when John Angelesco walked, stole second, and scored on Terry Fail’s Texas league single.

They added two more in the second on hits by Alan Elias, Clint Copelan, and Mike Ching, with an Antiques error mixed in.

Dave Beren and Rob Omo each hit one-out doubles to get the third inning started. More Antiques miscues resulted in a 3-run inning.

We started to chip away with a run in the third on hits by Randy Cobb, Skip Stephens, and Sil Krevocheza. We got another one in the 4th when Dan Coyro singled, moved up on a passed ball and wild pitch, and scored on Calvin Dang’s ground out.

Charlie Johnson stole a run in the fifth for Team USA.

Sil Krevocheza led of the Antiques 8th with a base hit. Hits by Ted Hinckley and Dan Coyro drove in the final run of the game.

Phil Montes finished a “Double Duty Radcliffe” day by catching this game after pitching 7 innings in the 65+ game in the morning. Only great plays by Chris Gillespie and Terry Fail kept him off the bases in this game.
