We are 4-0 after our last pool game on Wednesday.
On Sunday, we beat the KC Cubs 18-0. John Arnold pitched a 7-inning shutout. We scored early and often.
On Monday, we jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first inning against the Ohio Classics. Bob Loflin gave up only one earned run in our 10-2 win.
On Tuesday, we were ahead of the Tallahassee Classics, 11-0 in the fifth inning, when the skies opened up. When it became clear that the field would be unplayable, the game was called. Dan Pawelek pitched the 5-inning shutout.
On Wednesday, Bob Harvey, Dave Howard, and Phil Gelhaus combined for another shutout. This time we beat the Tampa Sharks 12-0. We were able to get all three pitchers qualified to pitch in the playoffs.
We play our placement game at 10am Thursday against the Akron Blues at Lee County, Field 3. That game will determine seedings for the single elimination tournament that will start on Friday.
